Statement of Behaviour Principles
The Governors at Ingleton Primary School believe that all our children should feel safe and happy at school. Positive behaviour is essential for a school community where each individual feels valued and respected. All members of Ingleton Primary School are asked to adhere to this statement of principles.
This statement emphasises the values that are held by the school and which we promote to all members of the school family.
- We are kind to other children and adults, and care for and respect their feelings.
- We are polite and helpful to everyone in school, using our manners at all times.
- We listen carefully when asked to do so by an adult.
- We move calmly and quietly around school to maintain a peaceful learning environment.
- We are safe and sensible at all times.
- We look after our belongings and treat other people’s property with care and respect.
These are the cornerstone of the attitudes and ethos of Ingleton Primary School. We believe that if we all embody these values, our school community will be happy, safe and strong.
At Ingleton, we take a restorative approach to issues that occur and teach our children to adopt a reflective mindset. This enables the development of understanding, of positive relationships and respect for both ourselves, and others.
