Starting Nursery

Starting Nursery is a very exciting time for both children and parents, a step on your child’s learning journey towards an independent and successful life.

We hope that this information answers many of the questions that parents ask before their child starts Nursery. Please do not hesitate to ask if there is something that you don’t find the answer for.

Nursery Fees and Funding
At Ingleton Primary School, we offer 15 hours of universal funded childcare per week during term time for eligible three and four-year-olds.
We are fully committed to making early education accessible. Our nursery provision is structured to ensure that your child can access their full entitlement completely free of charge.
    • No Hidden Fees: We do not require any registration fees or deposits.
    • No Top-Up Charges: There are no hourly top-up fees for the funded hours.
    • Fully Inclusive: We do not charge for everyday consumables, snacks, or standard nursery resources.
    • Meals:  We do not offer Nursery a school meal daily, occasionally the children may have a special meal e.g. Christmas dinner/summer picnic days.  There is a small charge of £2.00 for the meal, this is optional.

Our Funded Sessions
Your child’s 15 hours can be taken across the following term-time hours:
    • Monday to Friday: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Eligibility & Admissions
Children become eligible for the universal 15 hours funding the term after their third birthday.  We do an intake in September and January depending on numbers.
